In 2010 Goodro Lumber – Killington had 96 solar panels installed on the barn roof. This 20 kilowatt array was designed to offset 65% of our yearly electric usage, but we haven’t seen a bill in four years and currently have a credit. Anytime the solar array outproduces the current need, excess power feeds the grid and credits our electric account.

This solar array was designed and installed by Jerry Morton of Renewable Energy Systems and Technologies of Bridgewater Corners, VT. An article with further details was published in 2010 in The Mountain Times.
